Fund Raising
 
GSSC LOGO WEAR -  Bob Markarian has arranged for us to be able order a variety of clothing embroidered with the GSSC logo.  Our new "Spring Collection" is here.  Click Here to see a sample.  Vests and jackets are $25.00-$40.00 with the club logo.  TransPack Helmet/Boot/Gear Bag 'EDGE' in colors Black, Navy, & Red.  Volume 2,600 cu. in. Only $35 w/GSSC Logo & Your Name, Baseball Cap Only $14.50 in 9 Colors w/GSSC Logo & Name.  Other Items also available, all in various colors.  There is an order form on the Garden State Ski Club website, click on the link on the GSSC home page for a list of styles/sizes/pricing. Orders are not taken online. GSSC GARAGE SALE!  We've decided to replace our auction with a garage sale.  Do you have treasures that you've decided someone else could use?  Is it time to clean out your closets, attic, garage, etc.?  Start gathering your "extras" to sell at the GSSC Garage Sale.  Tentative date is May 22nd (rain date May 23rd),   Items should be clean (e.g. clothing) and in working order.  More details to come within the next few weeks.  Please see Kathy Colussi for more info.

Vermont Lodge

Come to the Vermont Lodge.  Enjoy the snow at your favorite resort...  Then come back to the lodge, kick back by a roaring fire and share your day's adventures with your fellow club members over appetizers and your favorite beverage.  Rates are $25 per night for members and $30 for non-members. Upcoming Social Events
 
Hike & Ski - April 17th (rain date April 18th) - Feeling energetic?  Just can't put the skis/board away yet?  Join Tom & Kathy Murante for a hike up Hunter mountain (with your skis & boots on your back) and then ski down to a fun BBQ at the bottom.  Just bring your ski equipment and a contribution to the BBQ.  Meet on outside deck at ski lodge at 9:30AM.  The hike will begin promptly at 10AM (about a 2 hour hike up the mountain).  For more information, contact Tom Murante or Click HereIMPORTANT NOTE:  Hunter will be officially closed and there will no ski patrollers on duty...so hiking & skiing will be completely at your own risk!
 
Tennis Parties - Our Spring tennis season is almost here!!!  2 tennis parties are planned for April 17th and May 15th.  For tennis players, the cost will be $24/members and $28/non-members.  For partiers/cheerleaders (no tennis), the cost will be $12/members and $14/non-members.  See Janet Tischbein or Jim Deaver for more info. 
 

Spring Fling Dinner Dance - May 8th at Sanzari’s.  Live music with Henry Boot, buffet, hors d’oeuvres.  More details to come.....

Fishing - tentative planned for early or mid May - Mike Rinaldi is again planning to run fishing trips on the Golden Eagle out of Belmar, NJ.  More details to come.....

Billards Night - Originally scheduled for May 29, 2010 at Castle Billiards, $22 members, $25 non-members.  Unfortunately, Jim was not paying attention to the calendar and made a tenative date for the billiards night on Saturday, May 29 without realizing that it was the Memorial Day weekend.  He is asking that if you are interested in playing pool to let him know which of the following alternatives you would be interested in:

(a) I am ok if the May 29th date is still the one
(b) I would be interested in playing on Sunday afternoon (probably 6-8pm) May 26th
(c) I would be interested in playing on Sunday afternoon (probably 6-8pm) June 13th
(d) any of the above are ok

Unfortunately, there are touraments scheduled for other Saturday nights (May 25th) and all of June.  If you would like to play pool on any of the above dates, please send Jim and email (jfitzpatrick@hydroqual.com) and let him know your

St. Laurence River Bike & Cruise - July 23 - 30, 2010 (8 Days, 7 Nights). Price $1,200.00 per person double occupancy includes the ship, taxes, port charges, bike transport. Motorcycle and car carriage also available.
