RIDGEWOOD DUCK POND SKATE
Come and join the Garden Skaters Wednesday of every month beginning in May, as we roll along a beautiful wooded trail which winds it’s way through six Bergen County towns. There’s no better way to unwind from a stressful day than to breeze down the trail with friends, wind in your hair, sunlight shinning through the trees! Meet new people! Learn new skills! Drop those unwanted extra pounds! It’s so much fun that you won’t even realize you’re exercising! Skate all or part of the over ten miles of trails, moving along at whatever speed you feel comfortable with. Along the way we regroup at the bridges as we rest and chat. BUT WAIT! THE FUN'S NOT OVER!
Work up that appetite because after the skate we all go out to dine
at one of the more than 60 fine restaurants that Ridgewood has to offer,
many of which have outdoor dining. Some are even B.Y.O.B., so bring
along some of that home made wine!
We meet at the Ridgewood Duck Pond, Ridgewood Avenue in Ridgewood, N.J. at 6:00 P.M. every Wednesday of the month beginning in May. The entrance to the park is 500 yards west of Paramus Road. Enter the park and then follow the drive almost all the way around the horseshoe, to the last parking lot on the left (Area D). After a quick gearing up we usually hit the trail around 6:15. P.M. Protect you’re most valuable asset: WEAR A HELMET! And don’t forget the wrist guards.Knee and elbow pads also come highly recommended. TOP JOIN
